There's an old, goofy movie from the 80's called Buckaroo Banzai.
It's based on the comic book of the same name, but apparently the
movie never matched up to the comic book.
There is one great quote, however, that comes from that movie, and
it's a quote all men who want to attract women should take toheart: wherever you go, there you are.
When a guy finally gets a woman to agree to go out with him, the
first thing he does is start to obsess over where to take her and
what to do.
Should he make reservations at a fancy restaurant? Go to the
movies? Take her to a ritzy club? Meet for coffee? What the hell
should he do?
The answer is simple: just relax, man. Why? Because wherever you
go, there you are.
What that statement means is, your attitude is more important than
your location. The attractive man has the attitude that wherever he
is, that's the place to be, and that attitude is infectious.
On the other hand, the man who's worried that wherever he goes is
not "in" or not "cool enough" transmits an attitude full of fear
and doubt. With this attitude, there's no place he can go.
Now, I'm not suggesting you take a woman to McDonald's or the local
trash dump. That's just plain common sense. What I am suggesting
is you pick a place you like, and go there with the attitude of
"wherever you go, there you are."
Almost any place will do as long as you're calm, cool, collected,
laid back, funny, unhurried and attractive. Create the moment and
the location is irrelevant.
So, while Buckaroo Banzai may have been a forgettable movie, it did
leave you with one big takeaway: wherever you go, there you are.
